CHOREOGRAPHY

As an up and coming choreographer, my artistic mission is to create storytelling through innovative movement that inspires social change. Through my studies in choreography, creative writing and as a selected student research fellow within the art department, I am able to hone my passion for this narrative craft.

My passion for classic Musical Theatre dance led me to my regional choreography debut staging Seven Brides for Seven Brothers as well as assisting many full scale musicals at Coastal Carolina University department of Theatre and Dance.

I am also an accomplished contemporary choreographer and have debuted two grant funded half hour projects at the University level.

Storytelling my way.

Unquestioned: a Half Hour Dance Concert, was a year long research project and performance in culmination with my research fellowship on data performance and its impact on viewers.

Through my research, I was able to write, choreograph, direct and produce a half hour contemporary ballet discussing the effects unquestioned belief in the patriarchy and capitalism have on feminism and the environment.

Other Projects…

  • Moon Lillies on Blank Canvas

Moon Lillies on Blank Canvas is an original work that tells the story of a young female artist trying to find herself in her work rather than lose herself to it.

  • Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

As the head choreographer of this massive book musical, ballet was the center of the storytelling. This piece was my debut as a professional choreographer, and utilized dancers of varying levels to bring this classic story into 2022 through the art of ballet and folk dance.

  • Urinetown the Musical

At Coastal Carolina, I served as the Assistant Choreographer under Adam Pelty for this bold and nuanced musical!
